This begins as an exploration of the Eucharist and develops into an in-depth analysis of the Paschal Mystery, especially examining the actual social context of the passion of Jesus and the theological implications flowing from it. He focuses on the idea of ‘threshold’ moments or decisions and their significance for Jesus and now for ourselves. We are called to die many times before the final version! He draws together the importance of mysticism with the absolute demands of justice, people and compassion.
